OMG. Thought I died and gone to heaven when my husband surprised me with this AMAZING hotel. He did all of the planning and research (and found Esperanza on Girls' Guide to the World, which is why I feel compelled to write a review - and thank you a million times for giving him the tip and me the most amazing trip)! We were whisked away from the airport by the hotel's driver who was waiting for us with a big smile and helping hands for our luggage. When we arrived at the resort, we were greeted with cold towels and water bottles and a jaw-dropping view. Our room could not have been better. Spa was divine. Poolside service - best ever (get the coconut popsicles and the fresh fruit smoothies are so good). Resort restaurants - totally great (but so so expensive-think $20 margaritas...you've been warned!). Having your own concierge - so awesome, I'm wondering why more places don't do this. Lying by the prettiest infinity pool ever and watching whales dance in the Sea of Cortez wasn't too bad either :)! Literally, this place was luxurious perfection. You don't get much of a taste of the local culture, but if you are looking for complete romantic relaxation and being spoiled 24-7, look no further than the Esperanza.
