     BJ's is the hotspot. Walking in you are clamored by the noise of many conversations and the smell of great food. The atmosphere is friendly and busy. The menu is extremely lengthy with almost anything available. The signature deep dish pizzas are a local favorite as well as the pazookies, which are cookies baked in a deep-dish pan with ice cream served on top. They are an excellent finish to a guaranteed excellent meal. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food and the service was excellent. Enjoy a great meal in a friendly atmosphere.

     I heard many good things about Candelas, and finally decided to go in myself and experience what all my friends were talking about. I decided to go for their happy hour, which amazingly is 7 days a week, and I was seated behind the bar at a booth. The ambiance automatically invites you and the service was impeccable. I had the tamarindo martini and it was so delicious, the taste of it still tingles in my mouth. After that i ordered the callos jean, which is a delicate scallops made with onions and mushrooms. the taste was out of this world. I then ordered their famous chili mango martini that my friends told me about and every bit of it was delicious and met its reputation. I stayed till 7:30pm because at 6pm they had a live jazz band and things just got better from there. The music, candles, food, service, everything was great and I felt like I was in a movie when the lights dimmed and the candles took over to illuminate the restaurant. Truly, a one of a kind place and a one of a kind crowd. I will be going back very soon, and have decided to make it my weekly happy hour with my friends.

     Excellent authentic Mexican food amidst an authentic atmosphere. Cotija Taco Shop is some of the best Mexican food outside of Mexico. The tortillas are homemade and warm. The menu is diverse serving the classics such as different types of burritos and tacos as well as the popular California Burrito consisting of fries, guacamole, beef, lettuce, and a special sauce. Almost everything on the menu is under $5, making it an affordable place to grab a quick and satisfying meal (the servings are huge) or there are many tables to sit and relax awhile. The service is fast and friendly making this an excellent place to enjoy some authentic Mexican.

     Jeff's Burgers is located near La Jolla Beach, making it an ideal spot to grab a tasty meal after a long day at the beach. It is referred to as a local hangout during the summer, serving many beach-goers. The burgers are excellent but the milkshakes weren't the best. The space for eating is limited and not the most clean, but the food was excellent and the service was fast. The pricing was a bit high, but finding cheap food in La Jolla is rare. Overall, Jeff's Burgers had great burgers and fries for a high price.
