Here’s our electronic dance music guide for the next few weeks at the best Paris nightclubs. Put on your dancing shoes, Paris nightlife stays awake all night long. This month we take a slight sidestep to include one not-to-miss festival.

La Machine at the Moulin Rouge 

The Batofar in Paris

The old boiler room of Paris’ famous Moulin Rouge remains hot, especially when you house a club in it. La Machine du Moulin Rouge is a perfect example of how to merge history with contemporary culture. The clubs and concert space can hold up to 800 people and focuses on Techno, Tech House and Deep House. And what is a Girls Guide without a female DJ? Therefore we’d like to recommend Ellen Allien, an extraordinary German Techno and Tech House DJ who will shake up the red mill TONIGHT Friday August 15th. From a red mill to a red boat: club Batofar is located on one, floating alongside the banks of the Seine River. The LV Osprey, as it was once called, served as a Light Vessel and in 2000, Batofar took up residence here. It’s been praised for its progressive electronic music program ever since and still a Parisian favorite. It’s small and cosy but the calendar at Batofar almost makes you tip over. Imagine dancing on a boat all night and afterwards taking a stroll down the Seine as the sun rises. On Saturday August 23rd you can enjoy a night covering (Deep) House ditties during the event Much More, with UK’s No Artificial Colours as headlining DJ duo.

Wanderlust 

It’s disputable if the unusual building of Wanderlust is universally loved or not but it’s definitely a very hip addition to Paris nightlife scene. And its not just nightlife – you can also go to the movies at Wanderlust or take a yoga class during the day. But the terrace overlooking the Seine River is worth a drink (or three), even more so when there’s an outdoor party going on. The club hosts Hip Hop and R&B evenings, but also House, Electronica and… Disco! Our pick: Rock Nouveau Disco on Saturday August 30th.

La Machine 

Get your groove on at Nouveau Casino! It’s located on the über hip Rue Oberkampf, where you can find a bevy of bars and other clubs. This venue is spacious, has a centralized dance floor and a huge bar that is crafted to resemble an iceberg. Aside from DJ’s, Nouveau Casino also hosts concerts. Nights here are filled with House, Chill Out, (Nu) Disco, Electro, Trap, Hip Hop and Bass. No night is the same, so check the calendar before getting in line. There’s not an extreme door policy and the entrance can often be free. We hope to see you on Friday August 22nd, when Phil Dark shares his Deep House sound during Unplug.

INOX festival 

As promised, we’ll finish up this nightlife blog post with a festival. On Saturday September 6th  INOX Paris will be the place to be. Four stages will bring you Progressive Trance, Techno, Electro, Beats and more. Enjoy artists like Showtek, Gary Beck, I Am Legion and Sidney Samson.
