Women solo group travel to Kenya

Travel to Kenya

From the moment you set foot in Kenya, the landscapes, wildlife, and culture enfold you. Kenya is an unforgettable experience, from the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the pristine coastal villages. A Kenyan safari is a journey into the heart of Africa. Every moment is filled with wonder, from the thrill of spotting a lioness with her cubs to the serenity of a sunset over the plains.

A Day in Maasai Mara

You can’t beat a dawn game drive as the sunrise stirs the animals from sleep and before the mid-morning heat sends them into the shade. At Maasai Mara, expect to see the Big Five. Spend the afternoon in a Maasai village and learn their traditions and culture. End the day around a campfire beneath the African sky.

Relax on the Beaches of Diani and Lamu

Lamu Island is an historic Swahili town with lovely beaches, traditional dhow boats and narrow streets with a mix of African, Arab and European influences. Diani’s pristine white, palm-fringed beaches attract water sport lovers to the warm turquoise waters.

Visit Samburu National Reserve

See the renowned Samburu elephants at the park’s watering holes. These elephants have been the subject of studies for over 30 years. Expect to see cheetahs and the rare Grevy’s zebra. Lions, reticulated giraffe, leopards, buffalo and a range of antelope are also resident in the park.

Group trips for solo women travelers to Kenya

Kenya is one of Africa’s top travel destinations famous for its abundant wildlife. From the amazing Great Rift Valley landscapes to the vibrant cultural traditions and incomparable wildlife experiences, Kenya is Nature’s theater. The world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve truly showcases the country’s natural beauty. Thousands of wild animals call this vast savannah home, and this is the backdrop to one of nature’s most spectacular events, the Great Migration. Every year, over a million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles migrate across the plains. Along the way, they brave the perilous crocodile-infested Mara River, while hungry lions lie patiently waiting.  In this reserve, you’ll come face to face with the Big Five. Lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo live here. Kenya is also a bird-watcher's paradise with over 1,100 bird species. Maasai Mara is one of over 40 game reserves and wildlife parks in Kenya.

Discover the traditions and lifestyle of the Maasai people at a Maasai Village. Join in a traditional dance, listen to their stories around the campfire, and gain insight into the close relationship these people have with the land and its creatures. End each day with sundowners around a campfire under the clear African sky before retiring to a unique tented camp in the African bushveld.

Travel with like-minded women on the African safari of a lifetime. You’ll never forget the moment you stepped on the warm African soil to discover the friendly people and Nature’s own theater.

Trips to Kenya reviews

My second trip with Girls Guide to the World! This time it was Safari to Tanzania & Kenya with seven adventurous ladies. We saw big game, small game and so many birds in the Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti National Park. We did a hot air balloon ride over the Tarangire Park at sunrise, visited a Maasai Village at the Ngorongoro Crater and we relaxed in Zanzibar where we swam with dolphins and visited a spice farm. The accommodation was top notch in luxury tent camps and boutique hotels, and all had excellent food. As a solo female traveler, I really enjoy meeting other adventurous ladies and sharing the experiences on the trip as it creates lifelong memories and friendships.

Just returned from Kenya and this trip was all I hoped for and more! This is my second trip this year with GG2P, and it was just as well done as the first, if not better. The group of ladies were all amazing women and so much fun. I have always wanted to go on a safari and booked this trip about a year ago. Doni truly has the magic touch as we were blessed with excellent accommodations, seamless transportation, excellent guides including a spectacular Kenyan guide in Rupi Mangat and educational opportunities from experts.

She took the time to find out everyone's special interest and did her very best to make that happen. I think I was luckier than most in that area, but I know that everyone on the trip was awestruck with how well the trip went and how we managed to see every single animal and bird possible with only Rhinos hiding beyond our sight. This is a direct result of Doni's and Rupi's skill and care in planning this trip. Somehow, they even managed to arrange for COVID tests in the middle of the Mara and to ensure that results were in time for everyone's flight home. Everything was thought of and any and all mid-trip adjustments were handled expertly. They even managed to conjure up perfect weather and every single animal and bird we wanted to see!

I have a third trip booked for next spring and I am already starting to pack!
