Women solo group travel to Europe

Small group trips to Europe

Europe boasts 400 UNESCO World Heritage Sites as well as the smallest country in the world, Vatican City. It’s the birthplace of French Fries which should really be called Belgian Fries and liver cheese, Leberkäse, from Austria. In the Netherlands there are more bicycles than people and more chocolate is purchased at the Brussels airport than anywhere else in the world.

Diversity

Comprised of 50 countries that speak 200 languages – with more diversity in a smaller land mass than anywhere else in the world.

History

This is the land of castles and fascinating history, vibrating cities and charming villages.

Fine Dining

You’ll dine well here as there are more Michelin star restaurants in Europe than anywhere else.

About Europe

Home to some of the most visited sites in the world like Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower in France and the Colosseum in Rome, Italy. Plovdic, Bulgaria is the oldest city in Europe dating back to 6000 BCE and 6000 years ago they began producing wine in Georgia. While other places may offer a more dramatic landscape - Europe including the UK is surrounded by many different bodies of water including two oceans, the Artic and the Atlantic as well as x seas; the Mediterranean Sea, the Black Sea, the Caspian Sea, the White Sea, the Barents Sea, the Adriatic Sea, the Norwegian Sea, the Baltic Sea, the North Sea, and the North Atlantic Ocean making up 68,000 kilometers of coastline.

The island of Surtsey in Iceland is the Earth youngest island. Some of the most popular festivals in the world are found here such as; Venice’s Carnival, Octoberfest in Germany, the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, La Tomatina (the tomato throwing festival) in Spain, Keukenhof’s Tulip Festival in the Netherlands, the Chelsea Flower Show in London, Zagreb’s folk festival and two of the most prominent tennis tournaments, Wimbledon and the French Open. We cannot forget the incredible Christmas markets that dot cities and villages throughout Europe in France, Germany, Czech Republic and Austria.

Faqs about trips to Europe

As of now, if you are from the US or Canada you don't need a visa just a passport that is good for 6 months after your return. In 2025 a Visa process will be introduced

None other than making sure your normal vaccinations are up to date.

Most countries in Europe accept the Euro with notable exceptions like:

  • Denmark
  • Sweden
  • Hungary
  • Poland
  • Czech Republic
  • Bulgaria
  • Romania
  • Croatia
  • UK

Visa and Mastercard are widely accepted more so than American Express or Discover.

English is the world’s common language and a lot of people in Europe speak some English but with the exception of the UK and Ireland each country has it own language or several.

Tipping is not as common in Europe as it is in the US and when one tips a porter or a taxi its often far less than the 20% which is now the norm in the US. For each country we visit Girls’ Guide will supply you with a tipping cheat sheet.

Trips to Europe Reviews

I enjoyed taking in the city with a guide that spoke the language, all the meals we shared together, and learning about the culture of the French people."

Carolyn D, San Diego, CA, 2023 Trip Guest

The Amalfi Coast trip was one of the best vacations I have ever taken. It was one fun experience after another, with beautiful scenery, culture, great hotels, and delicious food. And so relaxing because there are no worries about logistics; your Trip Leader makes it all happen
