Although there’s no shortage of gorgeous and accommodating Paris hotels to choose from, sometimes nothing beats the personalized service and niche novelty of a truly special boutique hotel. Luckily, there’s also no shortage of those in Paris. No matter what your style or budget is, these Paris hotels are sure to make your stay a memorable one.

This thoroughly modern approach to travel incorporates eco-friendly practices like energy-saving light fixtures and water-saving taps into an electro-pop, color-cutout style. Situated in the increasingly trendy neighborhood of the 11th Arrondissement, Hi Matic offers fully organic breakfasts in its downstairs lounge, where you can play Scrabble or Uno with fellow travelers, and a wall-installed iPad in the funky upstairs lounge to check your e-mail or Facebook account before heading out to explore. Grab a ginger-orange soda or organic quinoa beer(!) from the vending machine, plan your day using the wall-size Paris map in the lobby and set out for Paris from one of the city’s hippest hotels.
Best for stylish, earth-minded hipsters looking for something untraditional in a traditional city.
What to do: Decompress at the transcendental Hammam les Milles et Une Nuits, right down the street, along the Passage Saint-Antoine.
Fave room: The family room includes a double bunk bed, equally perfect for small families or a group of girlfriends traveling to Paris together.
Price: Affordable.
Résidence Nell

Boutique Paris hotels: Résidence Nell

Begun by the architecture-loving ladies of Charm and More, Résidence Nell is an unassuming and cozy collection of flats in the shop-filled 9th Arrondissement. Riding the line between apartment building and hotel, this modern and sleekly decorated spot is available for both short- and long-term stays. But no matter how long you stay, you’ll be charmed by Résidence Nell’s personalized service, which aims to let both the independent guest have her space and the demanding guest remain satisfied at all times. Angelina hot chocolate in each room, day and night room service and in-house masseurs and coiffeurs ensure that Résidence Nell has you covered.
Best for business travelers in town for more than one week.
What to do: Indulge at A la Mère de Famille, the historic sweet shop across the street.
Fave room: No. 502 combines height and panorama for a lovely view of the neighborhood from its balcony.
Price: Moderate to expensive.
Hôtel Pont Royal

Situated in the famous left bank neighborhood of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the bar Pont Royal was once a popular hangout of “lost generation” writers and notables like Ernest Hemingway and the Fitzgeralds. Later on, Julia Child lived in the hotel for six months. It’s easy to see the appeal: the hotel’s gorgeous and lush bar is cloaked in warm colors and an even warmer fireplace, and serves up some of the best cocktails in the neighborhood, while each room’s decor is designed around an original painting of the Pont Royal by a student of the nearby Ecole des Beaux-Arts.
Best for lit lovers with cash to burn.
What to do: Stop in at two of Paris’s best gourmet food shops just down the street—Androuet for cheese and Maison Kayser for fresh bread—before heading to the nearby Seine for a picnic.
Fave room: The eighth-floor panoramic suite is drenched in sunlight and anchored by a balcony with sweeping views of the Eiffel Tower and Sacré Coeur.
Price: Expensive.
