Lovely Laos + Vietnam

Escape the mundane! Laos in Southeast Asia contains many charms. It consists of an irregularly round portion in the north that narrows into a peninsula-like region stretching to the southeast.

Laos is bordered to the north by China, to the northeast and east by Vietnam, to the south by Cambodia, to the west by Thailand, and to the northwest by Myanmar (Burma).

Colonization by the French from the late 19th to the mid-20th century infused Laos with a European cultural element, which intensified throughout the country’s embroilment in World War II and the Indochina wars, as well as a civil war of its own in the second half of the 20th century. After exploring Laos, we’ll end our trip in Vietnam soaking up the rich French-influenced culture in Hanoi with a Ha Long Bay overnight cruise thrown in to boot!

Journaling in Japan – Artists & Artisans

If you’ve never been to Japan, you’re in for a real treat. Of the 72 countries I’ve visited, Japan is in my top five. Why? Because the Japanese culture is endlessly fascinating. It’s so complex, rich and so incredibly different than our Western norms. The beauty and artistry with which everyday duties are carried out have me in continual awe. To enhance an already outrageously beautiful adventure, we’ll be traveling with a French artist who will be teaching us how to construct a travel journal using found objects, old papers, and our own creativity. Perhaps you already know LululaBerlue from Instagram, but if you do not, you’re in for some real eye candy.

Tulip Time in Holland!

On this flower-filled trip which focuses mainly in the Holland portion of the Netherlands, you’ll stay in the quaint royal city of Delft with its tiny picturesque canals. You’ll explore the country’s capital, the Hague, and the ancient town of Haarlem as well as the more financially focused city of Rotterdam, all of which hold unique hidden charms. The biggest mistake people make when they first go to the Netherlands is they don’t venture outside of Amsterdam.
