GG2P Picks for the Best Paris Blogs
Tue 28 Feb 2012
From Paris through My Lens.
Believe it or not, we at Girls’ Guide love other people’s blogs as well as our own. Our site is a mixture of five blogs and a one-stop-shopping e-guide to Paris, with more than 4,000 pages of things to do in the City of Light. But often I get inspired by many of the other delightful, beautifully written, whimsical or hysterically funny blogs written by expats or Parisians. There are too many to name here, but I’ve tried to pick out some of my favorites. Drum roll please . . . so these are the best Paris blogs (in my humble opinion) for 2012. Please share your faves with us on Facebook.
The Paris Blog
Why? Because Laurie Pike is an amalgamator of a bunch of other great blogs, making her blog a one-stop resource for all of Paris.
HiP Paris
Creative, unique and beautiful, and exquisitely edited by my friend Erica Berman.
Paris by Mouth
Founded by two GG2P food writers, Meg and Barbra, this site is a MUST-READ for every Paris foodie.
From Paris by Mouth.
David Lebovitz
A former pastry chef, he’s the king of all Paris bloggers, and he is always hysterically funny.
Badaude
For the illustrations . . . love, love.
Girls’ Guide to Paris
How gauche to include ourselves?! Our site is very useful for trip planning, and it’s the only one to have an extensive Travel Club with 100-plus partners.
From HiP Paris.
Chocolate & Zucchini
Clotilde can be counted on for great French recipes and restaurant suggestions. We are a big fan of her book Clotilde’s Edible Adventures in Paris.
Paris Breakfasts
Love the photos and the illustrations
Do It in Paris
We enjoy the creative collages.
The Paris Apartment
Inspiring interiors. Can she come to my house?
From the Paris Apartment.
Secrets of Paris
Nice layout and easy to read. And yes, we are naughty girls too!
Parisien Salon
Just a beautiful site. Founder is a magazine pro from Miami.
Invisible Paris
Great photos and offbeat writing and topics.
From the Paris Blog.
Beth Arnold
I love her writing and her introspective viewpoints. Fair warning: she is on a break right now but we are praying she gets back to it.
Vingt Paris
Culture galore.
Eye Prefer Paris
Richard has a very informative blog and his trips are great!
Paris Pâtisseries
YUM. Has this guy tasted every pastry in Paris? It seems like it.
From Paris Pâtisseries.
My Little Paris
Darling drawings and great info, too. Its book makes a good gift.
Paris through My Lens
The photos here are so inspiring!
Little Brown Pen
Boy, this gal has got some eye! Photos in Paris via colored themes.
From Little Brown Pen.
