Zalando: Online Shopping in Paris

Shopping in Paris from home? Yes, please! I’ve always been a fan of online shopping—you can relax from your couch in your sweats, with a glass of wine, and find fantastic pieces without the pain of staring at yourself in the mirror and realizing you should really be at the gym and not be trying on jeans.
My new favorite online store is Zalando, a UK-based company that offers not only an amazing selection of shoes, clothes and accessories but also free shipping and returns on everything! This means you can shop worry free, even if you’re just buying one item. 

Zalando started as a shoe website but has expanded and now carries a great selection of clothes, accessories, sports items and beauty products. If you’re like me and have a slight shoe addiction, you will not be disappointed with the selection, although make sure you have ample closet space! And for Francophiles, Zalando carries French brands that are often difficult to find outside France, like Paul Ka, Femme Latitude and Sonia Rykiel. It has hundreds of other designers, too. Even more exciting is that there is always a large sale section, which tends to be my favorite. I always love a good deal, of course. But what I love even more is that after you’ve finished your designer shopping, you can also find a new pair of sneakers (for that needed trip to the gym) on the same site. You could literally do a complete closet makeover from the Zalando site and have everything shipped to you in one big box! While you’re at it, make over your boyfriend’s closet, too, as there is also a great men’s section. 

I love being able to browse through such a wide variety of clothing and shoes so easily. Zalando is simple to navigate, and checking out is even simpler. You can use PayPal, so you don’t even need to get up and find your wallet. The customer service reps are very friendly, so if you have any problems with your order, not only will you get the help you need, but the entire experience will be pleasant. 

My newest finds? Slim-fit coral-colored jeans from Kookai, which seem like the perfect addition to an end-of-summer wardrobe. Normally I wouldn’t risk ordering such a daring color online, but with free returns, I don’t have to worry. This white T-shirt, also from Kookai, is a bit more interesting than your average white T-shirt, with fantastic detailing at the bottom. It will go great with the jeans and also complement my summer tan. For a little gym motivation, I found some new pink sneakers from Puma. With sneakers this cute, I will have to go to the gym to show them off.
So break out a glass of rosé, turn on some Edith Piaf and peruse Zalando’s wonderful collection. With a bit of imagination, it really is like shopping in Paris—but from home!
