Nowhere does Christmas better than Alsace. Medieval castles, storybook villages, twinkling lights, and authentic artisan markets will ignite your Christmas spirit. Our trip starts in Strasbourg, the heart of Europe, where we’ll explore the picture-perfect towns of Obernai and Colmar, which are so enchanting that they’ll seem like they belong in a fairy tale. Enjoy festive magic, stay in beautiful historic hotels, and taste authentic Alsatian cuisine. We’ll savor long, leisurely dinners, where the slow pace only adds to the charm, allowing you to truly enjoy the experience. As we wander through Colmar, we’ll take a guided walking history tour, discovering the town’s fascinating past and stunning architecture. We’ll also visit the Choco-Story chocolate museum, where you can learn the secrets of chocolate-making and even craft your own delicious creations. For the ultimate indulgence, we’ll enjoy a rejuvenating massage at L’Esquisse Hotel & Spa in Colmar, followed by relaxation in their soothing wellness facilities. The European Union will soon require travelers from visa-exempt countries like the U.S. and Canada to obtain travel authorization before entering most EU countries. This new system, called ETIAS, is expected to start sometime in 2025, but exact dates have not been announced.
Since ETIAS is not yet in effect, there’s nothing you need to do right now. We will update all Girls' Guide customers as soon as applications open.
