If you're traveling across an ocean to get to South Africa, consider arriving a day early so you have time to relax and adjust to the local time zone. If you decide to arrive early, please let us know, and we will book your room and ensure that you are kept in the same room as you will be when the trip starts.
You should fly into OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg, South Africa. This is the main international gateway for the Wild Women Awakening trip. Airport transfers are included on the first and last day of the trip. If you arrive early or stay longer, you’ll need to arrange your transfer. Our concierge is happy to assist you in booking it.
If you are not joining the Cape Town extension, please book your return flight from Johannesburg after 8:00 PM.

Expect warm days and cool evenings, with temperatures ranging from 57°F (14°C) in the morning to 88°F (31°C) in the afternoon. Skies are mostly clear, with minimal rainfall—ideal for wildlife viewing.
For tourism trips of 90 days or less, U.S. citizens (U.S. passport holders) do not need a visa to visit South Africa or Botswana. However your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay.
